UFC 176 Current Event Post Sports Events and Entertainment.

This months class we are asked to post about an event that has happened that would reflect some  of the circumstances that we have a list of. The event that I knew about and researched a little bit better and found out about was the mixed martial arts fight UFC 176 Aldo vs Mendes. I researched this and found a website called MMA fighting and it basically summarizes the event. At UFC 176 that was scheduled to have the main event of Jose Aldo and Chad Mendes fighting for the featherweight title that was scheduled for August 2nd was canceled due to the fact that the champion Jose Aldo was injured during training leading up to the event and he would not be able to perform. So the challenge they faced was to see if they could see if they could still have the event which they were not able to put up a fight that would be main event worthy so they just decided to cancel the whole event. So this reflects the cancellation of event category that we were supposed to pick from. I agree with the fact that they have chosen to cancel the event and there is a few reasons why I support this decision. For one when they have marketed this event for months and people have known about it the main marketing pitch being on these two fighters many people may not want to see the event now and be willing to pay the ticket price to see them. And even though you have to place the other fighters on the card at different events it helps you in the long run because it adds another fight to a card that maybe you didn't have enough fights for. So with this being canceled  they may have lost the fight card but I think that they would have lost more money not having those two in the main event because like I said before people may not want to see that event.
